The “Must Have” Kids Shoes for the Summer

Why does everything in mini version just look so damn cute!

My girlfriend and I were walking on Yonge Street a few weeks ago and we saw in the window of a store an add for these plastic shoes from a brand I had never heard of and that I didn’t love at first glance and then she convinced me to go in and look at the kid versions and I instantly fell inlove (the “Millers”)!!! What are these shoes and where did they come from???!!!

I googled them when I got home and found that they had an entire line of wicked kids shoes and instantly tried to find more retailers in Canada that I could order from. I found a company called Mini Mioche based in Quebec that carried the Jefferson’s (the other style I loved – they look like Chuck Taylors) and ships to Toronto … YAY … and ordered them.

Word to the wise: with the “Millers” I have to say that I had a hard time getting them on, but that is because my son has puffy feet, but OMG they were so cute and exactly what I was looking for, for the summer. Had I not taken the tags off, I would have returned them to get one size larger, but oh well, too late. The “Jeffersons” on the other hand I ordered in one size larger and they slipped on soooo easily and he didnt even try to take them off – Ladies’ and gentleman, WE HAVE A WINNER!

Now you might be thinking, what is the difference between these and Crocs?! I also have a pair of Crocs for my son and while they are also great they are tight on the tops of his puffy feet (yes, even the relaxed fit are tight) and I have heard from many other mom’s that they can be dangerous when they are running around playgrounds as kids have fallen over on their ankles because there is no ankle support.

I had to share these with everyone because I love them so much and I know I am not the only one.

Where to buy:
Canada: http://www.minimioche.com/products/native-jefferson-shoes
*they have limited colours, but at least you aren’t paying large duty/brokerage and shipping costs
US: https://shop.nativeshoes.com/v5fmsnet/OeCart/OeFrame.asp?SXREF=15&CurPath=1&PMSESS1=20947
*heads up: interms of shipping from Native direct, they warn you that the duties/brokerage and shipping charges are quite high and were they right, $22 shipping for a pair of $29.99 US shoes (if you love them this much and are trying to justify the costs, write me (terri@babylishadvice.com) I am sure I can help justify the costs for you) ;)

FYI, I do not get paid from this company for sharing my love of these or your orders, nor do I get paid from Mini Mioche for your orders – I just know how long it took me to find a company who would ship them without it costing the same price as the product.

I would love to hear what you think of them, feel free to comment below

I went up a full size because he will get the most use out of them in the next few months and i am sure his feet will grow quite a bit! Plus his feet are so puffy its hard to get shoes on so going up a size helped!! If you worry they will be too big then just go up half a size.
